Answers:PS You could likely stop using the MelaFix, when my bettas jumped their divider (now they have seperate tanks) they got in a huge fight with many fin and gill injuries, I only treated them with salt and their fins grew back just fine and quickly.
It should be fine to put a plant in there. If the medication doesn't work anymore just simply take it out.
